The film Anime “Festival of Amrita” Saku Sakamoto premieres in Japanese cinemas on May 26, 2023.The film is a prequel to his film from 2018 Horror Anime Aragne: Sign of Vermilion.
The Amrit festival will be shown at Cine Libre Ikebukoro in Tokyo and in Cine Libre Umeda in Osaka on May 26, 2022. It was originally planned for its premiere in 2021, but was published because of Covid-19 Pandemia.
The main voice cast will consist of Maaya Uchida as the main character of Tamahi, Mamiko Noto as a friend of Tamahi Aki and Momi as Yuu – a friend from Tamahi class.
The production team of the Amrita Festival consists only of Sakamoto, which is credited with an original concept.He also deals with production, directing, writing, animation and composing music for the anime film.Sakamoto was also involved in the production of animations for Aragne: Sign of Vermilion, under the supervision and help in the production of Fukutani osam.
Sakamoto conducted a previously successful crowdfunding campaign to finance the production of Aragne: Sign of Vermilion on the Japanese Crowdfunding Makuake platform.The project achieved its goal of 2 million yen (about USD 13,542) in March 2017. Then, from September to October 2017, a successful Kickstarter campaign began to finance English translation and display a film at various animation festivals.The premiere took place at the Fantasia 2018 festival in Montreal in Canada in July 2018.
